Verse for Thought
"Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful, and fully repays the proud person. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord."
({Psalm 31:23 & 24 NKJV})

The 2.5 story frame mill has a gable roof and a limestone foundation/day light basement that is partially open in back. The frame flume is in good shape as is the steel overshot wheel, having been restored by Spoom member Glen Hofecker prior to 1989 as a water-powered woodworking shop for the building of fine grandfather clocks and other fine furniture pieces.

The story is prevalent, that a few years ago, the mill was about to be sold to and relocated to Maryland, but the locals got upset, persauded someone, perhaps the Gov. of Virginia to declare it a historical building; thereby, somehow preventing the sale.
