The Spring Creek Mill was completed in May of 1868, replacing a older structure that was burned during the Civil War. An earlier or later owner to Evers was E. W. Stover. A flour produced was Spring Creek Favorite Roller Flour.
A general store was added to the mill in 1936. The store was called Glen Superette after the then millowner/operator, Glenn R. Evers. Evers produced Fresh Burr Ground Yellow Corn Meal, Old Style Graham Flour, and Evers Pure Buckwheat Flour. In the 1960's both businesses closed.
It sat idle for 20 years, when Ann Healey bought the mill property in 1983 from her uncle, Ralph Heatwole, who inherited the mill but did not keep it running.
The miller's residence across the street from the mill. At sometime, the mill was used as a chickenhouse; chickens were raised on the second floor.
It took two years for Ann Healey to clean the mill and prepare it for the opening of "The Miller's Daughter" in 1985.
The mill now housed a general store, antique shop and craft shop. In 2008 it looked like the mill is used as a residence.GPS: 38D 24.12'N, 79D 2.05'W ele 1,266'/386 meters Briery Branch Quadrangle
