Eastbound on I-78 in Bethel Township, Lebanon Co., Pa. exit for Fredericksburg onto Pine Grove Road. Right at the junction of the exit ramp and Pine Grove Road, Grove Road & Legionaire Drive, the mill site should just east of this junction in the field next to Hummel's Creek.

The mill was a grist and saw mill combination and was powered from water from the creek known by local residents a Hummel’s Creek. The wall in the picture would have continued to the right across the stream to form the dam. The mill sat in what is a small depression at the right corner of the wall.

On a map dated 1860, the property is shown as being owned by Jacob Brendle and on the 1876 map it was owned by Henry Werner. The next known owner of the mill was Wilson E. Gerhart who operated the mill until the time of his death in 1936.
