The Old Hampton Store & Mill is located at the foot of Grandfather Mtn. at 77 Ruffin St. in Linville, North Carolina.
The store is c. 1920, while the mill dates from 1934.
It was built to grind locally grown white Corn and wheat raised in North Carolina.
All grinding is done with electrically powered motors. The waterwheel is purely cosmetic. The mill grinds periodically throughout the summer season.
The store/mill also purchased buckwheat and rye from Pennsylvania's Dutch Country, to produce a 100% natural product.
