A rural stone schoolhouse built in 1873 located on the Kings Highway S, just south of Old Zionsville in Upper Milford Twp., Lehigh Co.GPS: 40' 28.75N, 75' 30.48W 617'/188 meters East Greenville Quadrangle
The narrow, paved road beside the schoolhouse was supposed to lead to an old feed mill beyond, down by the railroad underpass, Reinhard's Feed Mill/Stauffer Grist Mill, c. 1760, but it could not be found.
The mill was originally built as a saw mill by John Moyer about 1760, then a grist mill was added by Charlette Miller in 1853. Samuel and Henry Stauffer operated the mills after 1862, while Sylvester Reinhard closed the saw mill in 1905 but continued to grind livestock feed into 1914. Unknown what became of the mill.
