The mill probably burned at some point, the long side has had some repair in the upper window area, and the peaked roof has been lost in the makeover.

The present mill was built in 1817 by William C. Duncan and later it was known as Duncan's Elk Mill Complex.

Either the inlet arch or the outlet arch, now a doorway. The inlet arch may have gone in above the rocked wall in the front along this side (see above pohoto) and then come out this arch. It also could have been the inlet arch and the exit may have come out under the road on the other side of the mill.

Much of the original building was updated with brick when purchased by D. H. Musser in 1870. The race visible. No equipment remains. Now used as a machine shop.
