Business as usual at Boonville Flour & Feed. At first only flour and corn meal products were produced; but in the early 1940's, a feed mill section was added.

A view of the main mill structure, built in 1898, from the rear and side. A board in the mill indicates the mill was finished on July 21st, 1898 by R.R. Och & Winegar. A local person thought the mill dated from mid-1850's.

The mill from the opposite side. Sammie Phillips purchased the mill in 1979; and in 2008, Sammie still works at the mill that is now owned by his son, Eugene. Whether the mill was built in 1850 or 1898, it is over 100 years old and still doing a strong business.

Flour roller mills processing wheat into flour. Wheat flour, corn meal, and grits are stiil ground at the mill, which also does a good business in livestock feeds.

A flour sifter at Boonville Flour & Feed to glean out the larger particles of flour. The coarser flour particle can be re-introduced into the roller mill for another round of processing to get a finer product.

An old storefront building along the highway, part of the mill complex, probably was and maybe still is a retail store for milled products. Perhaps also used for short-term storage of flour.
