*Update: This mill was accessed from the river as well as the road out front; hitherto, something not mentioned in the literature. I know of only a few such mills in the USA that are built this way. Sometime in this mill's early history, grain was brought to the mill by boat and flour was shipped also by boat down the Delaware River. Five mill doors with a catshead atop, an incredible picture of access to this mill. I haven't as yet found any early pictures of such mill access from streams. The annex building on the right can be clearly seen attached to the mill on the left; however, the bridge between the buildings is not stable enough to walk through.

The Lowry Mill as viewed from Bucks Co., Pa. The fire escape stairs have been removed to eliminate climbing hazards. *Update: The mill is in Milford Borough, not Holland Township. Andrew Huzar 04/23/2009*

Slowly disappearing into the English Ivy, the double red doors of the mill still catch the eye. The caption provided by Andrew Amante.
