The white frame two story mill used from storage today was built in 1890 after the previous mill burned.

The first mill appeared in 1834, built as a powder mill. Jonas Reitz rebuilt the mill in 1840 as a grist mill of two stories with a separate distillery.

John Ulrich ran the millfrom the 1860's until it was arsoned in the late 1880's. It may have been a few years before it was rebuilt, as the arson resulted in an arrest, a conviction, and a lawsuit.

A trap door opened for the unloading of wagons and trucks, using the sack hoist to tranfer them up to the second floor. The miller's house is pictures here.

The mill ceased operating about the mid-1900's and has been used for storage since then. The current owner is Steven Lashua at 6958 Ulrich Mill Road.
