North from Pleasantville, Oley Township, on Covered Bridge Road for1.3 miles, continue as the road becomes Oysterdale Road for 1.5 miles, turning right on Carl Road for 0.5 miles to the mill site and miller's house on the right across Oysterville Creek.

The gristmill was built c. 1792 by M. Maas in a Georgian style of architecture.

The house across the street has a few millstones in the yard and the man who lived there for 20 years knew that the ruins were some sort of a mill, but nothing more.
