Clinton Red Mill / McKinney's Mill / Stiger's Mill
Exit I-78/ US 22 using exit 15 onto W. Main St./Old US 22 at the west edge of Clinton, N.J. Go 1.5 miles and turn left on Main St. and again on Quarry Road. The mill complex is the reason for Quarry Rd.
Since 1810, David McKinney's Red Mill has processed flaxseed (linseed oil), talc, graphite, wool, and livestock feed using a 14' waterwheel. An earlier mill dates to 1763. The current mill ceased operations in 1928. The 2.5 story frame mill on a 1 story fieldstone foundation has been converted into a working museum.

Now a museum of the milling art, having been restored to operating condition as the Clinton Historical Museum.
