Old stone foundation suggests that the mill may date from the late 1800's and may have been powered by the Juniata River.

The old Brookland Mill that used to operate north of McVeytown on Furnace Road at Ore Bank Road, using Town Run for a power source, is no longer standing. This mill shows some operational changes over the years.
