The large hole in the wall shows a need for more maintainence. The wall is two brick lengths wide, probably not nearly as strong as a same width stone wall.

A history of Muncy Creek Twp. shows a flouring mill in Clarkstown built c.1800 by Thomas McCarty and later owned by W. S. Bieber & Co. Could this be the same mill?

A view of the broken out side of the mill from near Cox Creek, most likely the bridge on Sr 2061/Clarkstown Road.

The mill is owned by Clarkstown Auto Repair; but, not necessarily the current on-going business, which would seem to be no more, due to the condition of the side-wall. GPS: 41D 11.94'N, 76D 43.85'W Hughesville Quadrangle
