The mill, a 3.5 story plus 40'X 60'sandstone mill, is much lower than the highway NJ 57, so could easily be missed by west to east traffic. The Beattyestown was originally known as Beatty's Mill, settled in the 1760's.

The hipped-roof mill has frame on the upper story plus. It was converted to a private residence sometime before 1992. A very attractive mill in great condition.

*Update: June 2009, the mill was for sale by ReMax Realty as the refurbished single family dwelling c.1750 grist mill with another rental house and a carriage house & barn. It has now sold, in early 2010 and is "not" currently for sale*
