Chatham Run Flour Mill
The address is 21 Chatham Run Mill Road, Lock Haven, Pa. 17745. The mill sits west of the town of Avis, off Sr 150. The mill can easily be seen from Sr 150 on the north side of the road just south of the village of Crestmont.
The mill's Facebook page shows the mill going back to 1831.
In 1970, the owner of this fine 3.5 story, brick mill was Lawrence Harris.
In 1972, Jeff Snyder purchased the mill. He operated it for over 32 years.
An Atlas of 1862 shows the mill belonging to G. Crawford. Another source of information says the mill goes back to 1820. The photo was found on www.lockhaven.com website.
An interior current photo shows some of the chutes and grain elevators still used throughout the mill.
