The orig. mill was built in 1790 by Christian Eby. John Snavely was the 5th owner, purchasing the mill in 1875. The current owners, Doug, Dan, and Dave Snavely are the 5th generation of Snavelys to own and operate the mills. The Clintondale Mill was the 2nd mill to be acquired in 1996. Then,in 2007, the Mill Hall plant built a new storage facility to enable the unloading of trucks inside, thus eliminating dust and keeping grain and corn dry in inclement weather. In 2009, the 1,300 cwt flour mill at Clintondale was increased to 2,000 cwt capacity. Also in 2009, Gerald Snavely retired and left the running of the operations to his three sons, Doug, Dan, and Dave.
