Situated in a nice peaceful farm setting along Green Valley Road at Cold Springs Station. Henry Myers built the first log mill in 1820 of log which was powered by an 8' overshot wheel.

The 35'x45' brick mill with stone foundation standing 3.5 stories was built in 1852, when William Spangler purchased the mill and tore it down to the foundation. He built the present mill which used a 17' overshot Ftiz waterwheel to convert the potential energy of the stream to kinetic energy within the mill.

The demise of the local railroad in 1922 started the decline of the mill. Harry Hoff purchased the mill in 1951 and occasionally operated what was left of the mill for making corn meal. Soon the upkeep of the millrace proved to be uneconomical and the mill closed.

*Update: In 2001 it was purchased by David & Nancy Scheely and is slowly being refurbished. The first five years were addressed to restoring and upgrading the farmhouse. The past couple of years, windows in the mill have been fixed and trim painted and other repairs done to restore the grand old structure. In the eight years we have owned it, we have found many uses for it including our daughter's wedding reception. David & Nancy Scheely 09/2009*
