The mill was built in 1866 by Nicholas Seitz and sold to John Slyder (Sleider) in 1900. In 1876, Seitzville was a tiny hamlet consisting of a few residences, two stores, one school and the mill. In 1992, the mill was overgrown with great masses of English Ivy. The structure appeared to be of good integrity with windows and good roof.
