The Mill was build in c. 1865 and houses the original maise and wheat, Swedish milling equipment which is still in working condition. The old mill and the miller's hut have been created into accommodation, which is on the banks of the Caledon River which is the border between South Africa and the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho.

The riverbanks, veld and poplar forest are home to many bird species. We offer fishing along the river, which is home to many fish types such as barbel, carp and yellow fish among others.
