In 1923, the title passed to Shuman and Linville, who operated it for a short time and sold it to J. W. Conner & Sons.

The next owner was W. O. Chapman, who sold it, in 1948, to Austin Brandt, who also owned the Brandt Mill in Mifflinville. The mill was operated by his son, Gerald Brandt, producing Fishing Creek Buckwheat Flour among others.

Brandt's Mill production increased at the Mifflinville building, so the Bowman Mill was sold. It is now being used as a junkyard/outlet for second-hand appliances.
