Miller's Grist Mill
This mill is located on Burnside Bridge Road on the outskirts of Sharpsburg. From Boonsboro go south on Md 34 to the center of Sharpsburg, turn left on Harpers Ferry Road, go four blocks and turn left on E. High Street. Go two blocks and bear right onto Burnside Bridge Road and go about 0.2 miles to the mill on the left, just off the road.
The stone gristmill & miller's house stood on Antietam Battle Ground during the battle.
Located on a very nicely maintained estate on the grounds of the Antietam Battlefield.
An 1877 atlas shows the mill property to be owned by Col. Miller M. Tenant.
