There is a date on a mill post inside the building which reads 1830 or 1836. The mill works were still in the attic in the early 1970's. *Update: The date on the post is 1836, and the mill works are still in the attic. The mill stones are set in the house, in the ground (2 were stolen from the furnace room 30+ years ago) and a few are in other homes in the area. Debi-the new owner since May 2009. 08/14/2009*

The mill, built as a 35'X 48' 3.5 story structure with attic, is actually blue-grey limestone for the first 2 stories, then frame for the rest. The stone in the chimney and the small room next to it are a different type of rock.
