Located about 4 miles northeast of Hartford, Alabama on Sh 123 about 1/4 miles past the junction of Sh 123 with Ch 44 at Hurricane Creek on the left.

The grist mill was rebuilt here, about 1/4 mile north of the original site.

Six run of stones (meaning six sets of two pair) grind flour & meal, most ground and labeled for long time distributor further north in Alabama or Georgia.

The mill runs on electricity, even though close to Caney Creek. Eight to nine hour shifts, then one day non-operating before the next 8-9 hour shift etc. If the owner sees this webpage, perhaps he could e-mail the site manager some additional info. on the mills operation and history, including the old mill.
