From Newville, take Pa 233 northwest about 6 miles to the old community of McCrea. The mill will be 0.5 miles past the Pa 233 & Pa 997 junction on the left side of the road.

George F. the 3rd noted that the water wheel, still in the basement, was used still in the 1940's & 50's.

Mr Ginter took over the operation of the mill in 1949 and installed a hammer mill in 1950. Flour production was discontinued in about 1925.

Ginter's Mill is an old stone flour mill which produced flour and corn meal. Today it still produces animal feeds, mainly horse feed for the local people.
