Witman's Mill
From the town of New Ringgold, take Pa. 443 west. Upon crossing the Little Schuylkill River, turn right onto Cold Run Rd. /T902 and drive a short distance to the junction with Church Rd. The mill sits at the (T) along Cold Run.
This stone & frame grist mill, built prior to 1842 is situated a short ways northwest of New Ringgold, Pa.
The mill is placed at the end of Church Road along Cold Run Road, north of Pa 443/Pa 895.
The one span stonearch bridge over Cold Run on Church Road, just west of the Old Smith's Country Inn, a former 2.5 story stone stagecoach stop along the Old Catawissa Trail.
The Stagecoach stop operated for many years as a restaurant & tavern, but appeared closed when the mill pictures were snapped. The mill operated about 100 years, closing in 1938.
