In 1920, Girton and Ammerman purchased the old Evans Mill at Nescopeck and used the timber and equipment in the construction of a large flour and feed mill on Orange St. in Berwick.

In 1925, W. Clark Girton secured the Ammerman interest and became the sole owner . In 1926, he installed diesel power, and added new equipment. In 2009, the building is used for apartments and offices.
